3D Models of Demolished Buildings
Secretary of state for culture, media and sport Tessa
Jowell has called on developers intent on demolishing
listed buildings to make a computerised record.
This does raise some interesting questions. For example,
how will English Heritage regard the matter? If adopted
as a guideline, who bears the cost for the 3-d model?
This could be ground breaking in the constant debate that
developers have with EH and planners. Does this mean that
more listed buildings that are not fit for use and which
are expensive to convert are going to be demolished... |
